Nathan Robinson Author PictureAuthor’s Summary: Imagine if you found yourself the attention of the entire world . . . The dysfunctional Keene family awaken one Saturday to find several strangers and neighbors staring at their home. Events turn more bizarre when more hypnotized strangers arrive, all seemingly transfixed with those within the Keene household. As the ominous crowd gathers and grows larger by the hour the Keene’s find themselves under siege in their own home. With hundreds, then thousands of bodies pressing against the walls of their home, a rising body count and grim premonitions plaguing their dreams, the family must work together to discover who or what is controlling the Starers.

Review: On opening this review I would be remiss not to state that the novel reminded me of a few horror/scifi films namely – Invasion Of The Body Snatchers and They Wait, both mysterious, weird and alien-like that keeps you mesmerized throughout. Starers has that much beloved scifi feel all with zombie-like trances.

Starers is about the Keene family with a strong focus on the youngest daughter Lucy. They get stuck or more of the sorts, imprisoned, in their own abode because of these “starers.” Someone or many are controlling the townsfolk in which they stand outside of the Keene’s house under a haunting gaze. They all act zombie-esque with no emotions protruding and stare at Lucy. Wherever or whatever she does they follow with a super-scary ominous tone that is brazen and downright freaky.

There is strong paranoia throughout the home which makes total sense in this situation. This “evil” that is controlling many won’t give up until they get the grand prize of a bride. Dylan (Lucy’s father) is determined to protect his daughter at all cost. Will love survive in the end and lay defeat to the “starers,” you must read this novel to find out, it is well worth it tenfold.

Starers is available to purchase at most, if not all, online outlets in Paperback print form with the price coming in at around $9.99. If you want the Electronic Version or E-Book Version for your computer, iPad or Tablet Device, you can get it super low at Amazon for $2.99. If you have the amazing and highly recommended Amazon Prime Service, you can get Starers right now for free with Whispernet! This is an incredible novel that comes in at a strong recommendation. You will not be able to put the book down until you find out that fate of this family, and…who are these starers and where do they come from, questions will be answered…get it now horror readers you will be enthralled. My ratings, suggestions and links are below.
