As fans of the show know, Norman has been slowly evolving into the older adult Norman Bates who is the focus of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho movie franchise though the show is set in contemporary America. The show serves as a prequel that delves into the mind of Norman Bates, a boy in his latter teens, and heart of the inappropriate relationship, which is very creepy and uncomfortable to watch, that he experiences with his overbearing mother, leading to the duality of his personality exhibited in the Psycho franchise, half perfect gentleman, half perfect psycho!
If you haven’t seen Bates Motel: Season 1, 2, or 3, I don’t want to spoil it for you any further and I definitely recommend watching Season 1 for free on Hulu, here: Hulu.com/bates-motel, and if you enjoy it, of course, follow it up with Season 2 on the A&E website as previously mentioned! If you have access to a Netflix account, you can also check out Bates Motel: Season 1 & 2 on Netflix.
Nicola Peltz (Bradley) confirmed her return to the cast along with Kenny Johnson (Caleb), at Comic-Con 2014 and obviously the main characters Norman (Freddie Highmore) and Norma aka “Mother” (Vera Farmiga), will return. The IMDB shows the returning cast so far without regard to guest stars who have not yet appeared on the database as, Max Thieriot (Dylan Massett), Nestor Carbonell (Sheriff Alex Romero), Olivia Cooke (Emma Decody), Christian Michael (Aaron), Natalie Moon (Aaron’s Mother), and Robert Mann (Dale).
The rest of the cast aside from those mentioned are a mystery until the show airs and the drama unfolds. We can only guess what creepy inappropriateness and murders ensue this season as Norman moves closer into evolving into a bonafide psycho! Norman is getting much closer to truly believing a boy’s best friend is his mother!
