An Australian Independent Horror Feature titled “Ashburn Waters” Is In Production!

BACKGROUND: Ashburn Waters was born on a rainy Easter Weekend in 2011 when David Pether and Damian Hussey were camping out in northern New South Wales. Left alone in the tent for a brief period, David witnessed a strong wind shake the tent, causing a lantern that was hanging from the ceiling to sway violently, casting creepy shadows all over the interior. That’s when the idea came to David to make a camping horror film. Inspired by the likes of Jason Voorhees’ Friday the 13th series and Paranormal Activity the team shot a teaser, which was well received, and will now set the scene for the feature.

PLOT: When a string of unexplained deaths occur at Ashburn Waters Campgrounds, the facility is forced to close its gates for the safety of the public. Months later, authorities still have no leads, and the campgrounds lay dormant. Until Easter weekend, when a group of campers sneak in, as they failed to book a site anywhere else on Australia’s busiest camping weekend. Among them is Brett, a young man going through a hard time in his life. The source of which is his now ex-girlfriend Scout, who brought along her new love interest just to rub it in his face. And to make matters worse, something is killing off his friends, one by one. What is killing the campers at Ashburn Waters?

STUDIO: Shadow Fish Pictures is an independent Australian film production company created in 2007 by David (Fish) Pether. Originally starting out with short films, some of which have been recognized for originality and awarded for their Direction, the company has transformed and comprised itself of a dedicated team with the common dream of making feature films for a living. Incredible Indie Actor Maria Olsen Co-Produces A New Film

WAY DOWN IN CHINATOWN has been finalized. The amazing and talented independent horror star Maria Olsen from SHELLTER, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3, DIE-NER (GET IT?), amongst many more co-produces alongside 33 other luminaries to create a one-of-a-kind horror tale.

WAY DOWN IN CHINATOWN was shot mostly in black and white, and is, beyond classification.  It has elements of horror, noir and SciFi, and is both hilariously funny and grotesquely creepy.  It was made partly as an homage to great pictures like Metropolis and Nosferatu, and partly as an apocalyptic end-of-the-world fable.  It is, though, primarily the story of two normal people, Victor and Jessica Mitchum, who, one day, are made an offer they can’t refuse…

WAY DOWN IN CHINATOWN is currently streaming privately to select reviewers and will become available to the public very soon, so keep an eye out on this movie that dares to test the boundaries of horror!

A Vampire Feature “The Ecstasy Of Isabel Mann” Needs Your Help

The Ecstasy Of Isabel Mann is slated to be a violent teen vampire feature film from the award winning production company October Eleven Pictures out of Dublin, Ireland.

Jason Figgis (Director) has worked on projects such as;  Sky One, Sky Arts, the Discovery Channel amongst others, and has distributed Hollywood Studio, Lionsgate films.

The Ecstasy Of Isabel Mann is campaigning for donations and is very important at succeeding in the goal to get this incredible vampire tale made. Everyone involved in this feature film project has worked hard over several months preparing the film in drama workshops with the teenagers involved in the cast as well as a huge amount of time and effort on set from all involved to realize this exciting feature film.

Abstract Forces Gearing Up For I AM ALONE Zombie/Reality Movie

From the visionary team behind PEOPLE OF EARTH comes I AM ALONE, a Horror, Found Footage, Reality style Zombie film looking for funding during the pre-production faze.

SYNOPSIS: Jacob Fitts television host and survivalist, with his crew Producer Adam Levine & Cameraman Mason Riley set out to shoot another episode of their popular survival show, I Am Alone. Episode 113 takes us deep into the Colorado Rockies where Jacob will be left alone for 7 days while his team sets off into town to capture footage and shoot interviews. Within hours a viral outbreak spreads rapidly across the globe. Unaware of this outbreak, Jacob, isolated continues shooting his Television show. As day one comes to a close Jacob is attacked and bitten by an infected person. As the virus spreads through the town Mason and Adam have to fight the infected to save their own lives. With the CDC monitoring the outbreak they pick up Mason and all his footage and bring him back to base for questioning.  Reviewing Mason’s footage the CDC tries to piece together why the virus has taken longer to transform Jacob. The CDC forces Mason to relive the events of the previous days through his footage to learn more about the virus and Jacobs survival.
