Stone Cold Witch

From the ashes of a place nearly long forgotten comes the deathly skills of what can only be described as a Stone Cold Witch. She was part of the Salem trails that saw witches dragged through water and ultimately burnt alive. But this was one witch the fire could not kill. As she stepped out of the blazing inferno she seared her eyes upon all those who stood around her.

Her experiences have left her emotionally cold. She doesn’t laugh, love or desire, nor does she know the meaning of mercy of fear. Every person within her sight instantly turns into a stone statue, and there they remain until they die of hunger and thirst. Her wand is a reminder of the wood that was used to eagerly get rid of her and now it gives her unmeasured power.

Ghost of Innocence

Don’t be fooled by her pale skin and innocent appearance. Nor be tempted by her beautiful eyes and luscious lips. While her long flowing hair smells of fresh spring flowers, her spirit reeks of the stench of death. She is a lovely apparition in search of life. The ghost of innocence doesn’t breathe or feel emotions, but by taking a life she gets a glimpse of what being alive must be like.

Her desire to see and taste blood developed over the course of time. Unable to feel what it’s like to have this life giving fluid flowing through her body, she smears the blood of the lives she takes all over her body. In some cases she even takes a few sips, just to experience its viscous texture and warmth.
What used to be the ghost of innocence has transformed into the ghost of death.

The Master’s Weapon

According to legend the sword that accompanies the skull has the power to change the tide of battle. However, it comes with a price. Before it can be carried out in battle and its power utilized, it has to take the life of an innocent virgin. It’s a sacred sacrifice a nation has to make if they want to stay under the power of the skull.

Nobody knows where it comes from, who created it and how it died in the first place. But it’s obviously the skull isn’t as much human as it is animal. The jaws, the teeth and the naturally evil eye sockets provide an indication that whatever it was before could not have been good.

For kings it was the easiest way to stay in power, but for the selected virgins it was a slow and painful death. With each war another sentence was fulfilled.

The Hand that holds the Knife

Feb-2015-4A bloody hand holding a bloody knife. They are connected beyond mere physics after what they have shared. The hand wouldn’t have been able to carry out its deepest, darkest wish without the aid of sharp and sturdy friend. In turn the knife had to be yielded by a hand in search of that connection only blood shed can bring.

As the two are suspended in the dark they don’t just symbolize unity. They symbolize a thought or an image of something truly horrible. What they did or who they did it to is left up to the creative imagination. The only hints to complete the picture come in the form of bloody pieces that decorate every inch of the hand and the knife.

It could be anybody’s hand and it could be anybody’s blood. In fact, it could be the desire many of us would like to hide before the picture becomes a reality.

Good Old Mr. Reaper

Time and creation isn’t something that bothers the reaper. He is content to walk around in limbo, just gathering the necessary souls and leading them where they have to go. But he does have a little secret he doesn’t want anybody to know, and that is the place where he stores the souls that make him feel alive. For them there is only damnation, because they have to serve his purpose, whatever that purpose may be.

They say that you can spot when the reaper is going to lock you in that secret place. When he wears his beaked mask and a raging fire surrounds him then the soul should start running. Although escaping is futile in every sense of the word, at least you tried, because spending an eternity fulfilling the desires of Death can be considered another level of Hell.

No soul has been freed from his grasp yet, and he doesn’t plan on letting it happen any time soon.
