With one arm raised stretching towards her lover peering down upon her, the expression on her face is that of “why?” It silently screams of loving pain and overcomes all physical pain, because she doesn’t understand what is happening. Her last vision is blurry as her consciousness slowly crawls into the arms of death, providing a tiny window to make peace with her fate. Her other hand gently cups her broken and bleeding heart with the hope that love will come again, but “in her heart”, she knows this isn’t possible. 

A trickle of blood drips down the side of her mouth, completing the picture of death’s kiss. Nothing can save her from the slow dscend into darkness, not even the love that left her there. The blood covering her hands is the only reflection of the passion she once knew, and still she yearns. She doesn’t weep or scream, she simply stares motionless as life leaves her body….
