Happy Halloween

Ghosts of Horror Palace past parade,
Emerging from mist and shade
Hidden from the gaze,
With song and ringing mirth,
A moment of rebirth,
Again they walk upon the earth
As in the ancient days.
Horror Palace dominates the hill,
The will-o’-wisps the forests fill
With flashes filched from noon;
Witches fly on broomsticks spry
Throughout the nighttime sky,
Lifting strident voices high
Unto the Horror Palace Moon.
Sounds of tuneful notes
From myriads of straining throats,
Nothing is what it seems
So join the swelling choral throng,
Forget your sorrow and your wrong,
from Horror Palace all night long
a Happy Halloween
