The 2006 movie See No Evil could easily have been awful.  WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) making a horror movie?  But they have their act(s) together with WWE Films division along with WWE wrestling superstar Kane managing to make a truly gory, jumpy and average rated horror movie.

The movie saw a bunch of delinquent youths being force to spend a weekend in an old busted up hotel. They were sent there for community service work and needed to clean the place up. One of the chaperones is former police officer, Frank Williams (Steve Vidler) who quite the police force years earlier after investigating a horrific crime scene that saw him have his arm cut off by this monstrous brute of a man. A man he had shot in the head, but did not die!

Unfortunately for the kids and their chaperones, is the presence of a man called Jacob Goodnight who has made this place his home. He is a messed up due to the horrific abuse he suffered at the hands of his own mother. He kind of sees the sin in people and as he is messed up, resorts to killing people in brutal ways. Jacob Goodnight is played by WWE wrestler Kane. Kane is a monster of a man standing near seven feet tall and almost as wide. So he makes a very menacing presence on the screen and all without the aid of a padded suit or anything like that. When he is on-screen with one of the kids you really do think that he could rip them apart at any given moment.

The kids learn fairly quickly that they are not alone in this hotel and soon instead of trying to clean the place up they are fighting for their lives when Jacob Goodnight starts to stalk them through the hotel one by one. In all See No Evil was a really fun horror movie that really deserved more credit than it got.

See No Evil 2

See No Evil 2 picks up with Jacob Goodnight believed to be dead and his body taken to a local morgue.  There are a group of medical students in this morgue who find themselves locked in.  Making matters worse, it turns out that Jacob Goodnight is back from the dead!  Now he has a whole new group of victims to taunt!

See No Evil 2 appears to be a good horror follow-up to the first movie. The Soska Sisters who gave us the cult classic Dead Hooker In A Trunk are behind this movie, so it will likely be even more gory and messy than the original.

See No Evil 2 will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray later in 2014 as of right now it does not have a definitive release date.
