1) enter me midnight corey.
2) another horror cast billchete wow my love what a horror network here – i don’t have to go anywhere but horror palace for scary movies.
3) they live is one of carpenter’s weakest films – it is horror though terror.
4) you definitely talked mr. graves down – at first he said he loved it – lmao.
5) long – fun show.
Tom is f&f (fantastic&funny)–I thought the zombie was retarded.
Fantastic episode this show really raised the bar since Corey took over.
COMPACT DISC ME
finally a zombie movie i don’t have on the weekly horror podcast. i was beginning to wonder what was going on, lol. colin in the mail. zombies rule, more zombies, zombies zombies.
musics to my eers grate show hosts heers comment midnight thank yous for includings on the contest -ted
Great guests Graves is a stud. I wish the group made a comeback. I appreciated how blunt he is. I think all of you were harsh on They Live. It was scary back in the day and a good piece of film making. Not seen Colin and I don’t think I will. hahahahaha
I am a huge fan of Michael Graves and was blown away to hear him on this episode. Great interview and great show all together guys. Thank You for this episode
vote for me i wanna win a new music cd michael misift is mad good
pencil me in for cd
Sundays are the best day of the week.
1. No work.
2. TWHMP airs.
3. I buy or rent the horror movies covered with my friends over some Heineken getting blitzed.
Monday is the dreary conundrum starts all over.
The Misfits rule, I wouldn’t mind having a new CD in my collection.
Fenominal show ▼▼
Use are the best horror podcast on the internet.
Title of the show should of been called the skull headed zombies, get all the references. L) MC you were hurt on Colin it sounded like you made the film. JCs film brings back childhood memories, rating at the time would of been higher it does seem like one that would not hold up the test of time. I would stamp about a 4 on it.
Pleasurable episode corey+crew+guests. Put my Entry into the live cd.
They Live should be at LEAST a 7. —- Hey the show is ENTERTAINING even if you missed that one.
Mark me down for the contest. —- Greg Platt
Weekly Pod keeps upping the level of brilliance. Yes I used brilliance like Midnight Corey with Colin. Talented quad of hosts now with guests all good on this end.
Hi horror hosts* Great show & it’s nice hearing from other people what they think on the movies. The more hosts the better the averages. I would like an entry for the free CD.
Put me in the drawing thx Hank Kalbaugh @ Hank_Kalbaugh@yahoo.com
top-tiered episode as the battles continue. more sparks fly on this horrorcast than any other i have listened too. tomahawk and michael fit in perfectly with you guys. it would be nice for a return of both sometime.
Hey guys, loved the podcast and would really like to get my mitts on that cd. Shining is a pretty good tune!
Cannot believe how harsh the reviews were for They Live, though! Are you guys telling us that none of you saw the movie back in the day? Was this a first time viewing for more than one of you?
As far as horror goes, I don’t think it’s that at all. It’s sci-fi/action. But Rowdy Roddy Piper, Keith David and some Carpenter regulars owned in this one, and the special effects don’t hold up as well as they did in the eighties…but this one’s an 8 at least! It’s been a huge influence for horror fans and the dialogue:
“I have come here to chew bubblegum, and kick ass. And I’m all out of bubblegum.”
Seriously, this movie CAN’T be taken seriously. I don’t think Carpenter wanted to cause us any dread, he was aiming for fun. And yeah, the movie falls apart a bit and there were some plotholes (which were graciously pointed out by you guys, it’s not like the film was eviscerated) but it should have gotten a watch recommendation, right? Right?!
Aww. Anyways, one of my favorite movies. And I LOVE you guys. Look forward to this every monday morning at work with my earbuds…
What a really good show once again… Midnight Corey is one hell of a host and it was my pleasure to join him on this program… TWHMP is the very best show in the audio department at horrorpalace.com and I am proud to work side by side with this entertaining and insightful podcast.
@MC Michale Graves! Dude, you are the man. I’m driving to Erie to buy you a beer. I’ll have to give Colin a watch. Thanks so much for the plug at the end guys, I really appreciated it. @Dr. Shock Thanks for the kind words. I look up to you as a critic most so it really means a lot to me that you dig our ipodcast. @Tomahawk, man you are a rolodex of pop culture. I envy your abilites!
Great show guys! Love the lively debate from consummate professionals. Thanks for mentioning The Cutting Room.
a STAR power show with the 4 regulars(yes you are stars) tomahawk(on his way) michael graves(the dudes music is awesome) NOTLD remake(sweet) colin(netflixing it) they live(avoiding it)
iluzuns c.d. to enter ~ sugestzun revue el páramo english squad
Billchete & Midnight Corey, Outrageously good episode, best yet on the audio front with the guests.
Keep it going in this vain, as the show improved tenfold.
Another great episode. Nothing like horror palace shows to get me through work in a cubicle all day.
While I do agree that calling THEY LIVE horror is a bit of a stretch, I can’t believe it got such harsh reviews. Do you think you guys would have given it a better rating has you felt that Carpenter set out to make schlock-y flick in the first place? To me it is sort of like a Killer Klowns from Outer Space type flick which is a parody of the 50′s UFO/Aliens taking over genre.
@MidnightCorey Thanks for the shout out during the closing of the show. Means a lot. Can’t wait to come guest host on the show and of course get you on Evil Episodes!
Me2 4 the CD of Graves.
Thank you all for your comments, it is greatly appreciated. We value your support and we are enthused that you are enjoying the new “flavor” of The Weekly Horror Movie Podcast.
Midnight Corey is devoting a tremendous amount of time to this podcast, and I feel honored at podcasting alongside him!
Another great show. Was impressed Graves was so down to earth. Great picks. They Live is a nostalgic flick, and while I’m not a huge fan of Colin, I do respect it . Great show all around guys.
HopE I’m not LatE on the ProMotion EnteR Me in
COREY, for you darling on taking my entry for winning.
To all hosts, Hi I love you guys.
Thank you all for the wonderful responses! I’ll be drawing the winner of the CD after the next episode hits this Sunday, so there’s still lots of time to enter.
I very much appreciate everyone’s kind words about the show, and the slightly different direction that it’s taken since Jay left.
I have a handful of specific responses . . .
TJ: I was hurt deeply by what everyone else said about Colin. It’s a good thing it wasn’t a video podcast, or you would have seen the tears flowing. Actually, I just really love that movie. Screw the rest of them.
Nelson Paul: I am hoping to have both Michale and TomaHawk on again soon. They are wonderful men.
GregaMortis, TomaHawk, Chris Robo, Joe Mummy, Mike Maryman, BillChete: Thank you. You are all much finer podcasters than I.
Keith Latch: Dude! Thanks for listening! Feel free to plug your work — I’ve talked about it on the podcast before, and plan on doing it again.
Fist off, Graves has so much more going for him now that he has left the Mishits. sorry the new album is that bad. his songs like “Butchershop” & “Lucifer Iam” are instant classics! I look forward to seeing him live again. Second, Colin is a fine piece of filmwork. As a fan of the “Zombie Genre” it seems to be all but dead anymore. (No pun intended)! I enjoyed it for it being so origional, yet I can understand why horror fans that are not into this genre may not care for it. there was one part that I found humorous, it was the director inserting the ever famous “Wilhelm Scream”. remember the scream from sooo many old school video games & old B-Movies?! As for the show, I am really enjoying it, it just goes to show that great minds DONT always think alike. Keep up the great work guys!
Misfitboy
Great show, as we’ve come to expect! Corey-great interview and hosting!
