1. Excellent episode each review was detailed and welcoming.
2. Not a fan of foreign horror but you really sold me on Gantz.
3. Mimic was great BillChete I have to re-watch that.
4. Queuing Mutants.
5. Rob Zombie Halloween version is brutal. Anybody that says otherwise is NOT a HORROR fan. No more needed to say on that. Rating 9.9.
6. Midnight Corey is the man as host. Much more enjoyable podcast now.
7. The movie banner on the start page is excellent.
8. Long show flew by it was so good.
Incredible hosting Midnight Corey—
-All buys this week
–Gantz will be first
Thank you all for the kind words!
Gantz is truly an incredible film. However, before you decide whether or not to watch the sequel (Gantz: Perfect Answer), please listen to our review of it coming up on the next episode.
Special surprises in the next couple weeks! Thank you for listening.
Fantastic leader MC, you or BC should of took the reigns 14 episodes ago. This episode shows how clueless TT is once again. Never seen ’78 Halloween until today and you’re a horror critic? WOW
The Ghoul after thoughts on B&W horror is dead on. I agree with DS, BC, MC. TT is a peasant of a man. It causes controversy and entertainment BUT it is annoying all the same when a guy don’t know shit about horror.
awesome corey & gang hitting that 2 hrs again saweet!!! total enjoyment!!!
Nice Dr. revisiting the oldtime horror. I miss the Yesteryear picks. I love you guys, your reviews are always well discussed. Terror you were great on Grisly Zone. You sound angrier on the radio – After the video your a softie.
100 percent improvement with midnite as the main guy. more halloween lol you should do a podcast by podcast battle on the halloween reviews. you mens review of the remake was much better than the others on the network.
Tons better w/o Jay that was a no-brainer.
Midnight/Billchete/Dr. amazing work.
Buying Gantz/Ghoul.
Terror never seen Halloween. Now do you see fans. LmFao.
The two new Podcasts on the network are good. That Katie chick is cool.
Me and the misses are taking a little one day vacay to steer away from the kids for some relaxing time and I excited to see this is another long show. It will keep our drive exciting. I can’t wait to hear the new “flavor” of this cast. The image on the homepage is super. Corey spill the beans what are the new surprises?
Great cast! I loved all the reviews, especially Halloween since we recently covered it.
Midnight Corey- Great job hosting!
BillChete- We are way close on this one!!
seriously guys → outstanding podcast → a great eclectic bantering group → a fun horror ride of a podcast
4 out of 4 watches or rents. -Great
I never knew The Ghoul was a zombie movie.

Midnight Corey – exceptional job! You nailed it. I love the new artwork graphic and the show was excellent. I left this podcast in good hands…

I am ready to do our Halloween episode now…I don’t know if I can wait until October to do it!!!
Loved the show…you guys held it down. I would have loved to hear Jay and you guys go at it on this one!!!
Great job, Midnight! I’ll miss Jay but since the opening moments of this cast, I just knew you’d kill it.
I cannot WAIT to check out Gantz, and I loved hearing about The Ghoul because Im an 80′s slasher kid and need to get into horror history pre-1958.
As far as the Halloween remake? Thanks for pointing out the glaring time/setting error. IMO, the movie is full of similar problems from the story shift (from new backstory to just redoing the original Halloween but more brutal) to the lack of psychological insight in the script…and as a guy who’s listened to Rob Zombie’s music since the White Zombie days, I can appreciate his take on music because when he wears his inspirations on his sleeve, that’s entertaining. But when he creates films solely based out of elements from the past, he’s just regurgitating what he loved as a horror fan (but more gore!), which is one thing that’s wrong with the whole remake trend in the first place. I understand he’s trying to recreate something he loves and as an artist I understand wanting to pay tribute, but when you guys talked about the Ghoul I thought “Wow, that story sounds cool and there was a day when horror films had to be original because there wasn’t anything to borrow from other than stage plays and books…” We need to move forward and I would love to see what Rob Zombie does with more original material aka LORDS OF SALEM. Bring it on Rob…I want to see what you’re capable of and please tell me you ditched the white trash…
Anyways, I LOVE this podcast and you guys are great! Can’t wait until next week!
First, I just want to say great job Corey with hosting. Jay, you will be missed but Corey you knocked it out of the park (didn’t sound nervous at all). I don’t know if I necessarily agree with the, “you have to get Rob Zombie to appreciate the remake” stance. I, like you Corey, am a huge fan of White Zombie (not so much his solo stuff afterwards), and we all know my reaction to the film. I can’t wait until someone remakes Rob Zombie’s remake revisioning Micheal Myers as a creepy stalker, who skulks silently in the background of scenes, building tension and making the kills that much more gratifying. Oh, wait…
Newbie to horror podcasts & from start to finish is pure horror enjoyment. Now on to this monster feed if I can figure it out. ;>
great show x4
is the team going to review gantz 2 since the first was that good
Gotta say that I’m overjoyed and humbled by the overwhelming support and nice words about the show. Thank you all — I sincerely appreciate it.
Brett & Coralee: What kind of surprises would they be if I let the cat out of the bag early?
Lisa Lyle: Yes, in fact we will be talking about Gantz 2 this Sunday! We couldn’t wait to see if the sequel held up to the high standard set by the first. We certainly have some interesting discussion about it.
Another fun show guys! Great job hosting Midnight!
I love Gantz the anime! It’s MUCH more violent and dark than the movie. I highly recommend you guys check it out since you liked the movie. The anime is much more horror-esque.
JAY OF THE DEAD KICKS SO MUCH A$$ IT’S SILLY!!! (Anyone who says otherwise is a little slutty butthole. In my humble opinion, of course….)
MIDNIGHT COREY, dude, that graphic is so RAD I might go insane.
Hold on, I have a question… 2 questions, actually.
1. Did I ever say I was a horror expert who’d seen every horror movie?
2. Do you think I care what anyone thinks of me?
Psst!… the answer to both is “NO.”
Anyways, great episode. I’m loving the new set-up.
Great Episode! As if there was any doubt Midnight Corey would be able to take over and continue the great job that was put in place.
Ok, now onto my rant…haha.
The Halloween remake. Oh boy. I have to disagree with pretty much everyone, if I had to give it a rating it would probably be a 5 out of 10.
I think one big problem is that Rob Zombie tries to have it both ways in this reboot. He goes out of his way to “make it his own Halloween” by changing the origin story of Michael Myers, but then after all of that is out of the way, he basically reverts to making the rest of the movie a rehash of the original.
I am not a fan of his re-envisioned origin story. To me it turns Michael Myers from an evil being into merely just another random serial killer, and the “white trash” angle? Come on, he mine as well be called Michael Firefly and be revealed to have just been adopted by the Myers after being taken away from the Firefly Family (Devil’s Rejects).
Rob Zombie has this problem where all of his movies seem to have to be based around the same nucleus of character types. I didn’t mind it in House of 1000 Corposes (my personal fave film of his) and in Devil’s Rejects it was understandable (although I am not sure if I consider that a horror movie perse) but then to turn around and do the same angle with Halloween, just NO!
I do agree that the kills are graphic, violent and brutal, so I can’t hate on that aspect. However I am not so much into the incredible Hulk Myers that we are presented with.
I will say that after listening to the episode I plan on re-watching it to see if my opinion will have changed at all on it. (Haven’t seen it since it was in theaters)
With that said, still a great episode and great discussion. Any time you need a fill-in for the show….hit me up!
bravo mc a1 host-fun show gentlemen
Oh, and for me one of the best examples of a Director/Writer taking a classic horror flick and making it “his own” without totally changing the integrity of the original is…… NOLTD ’90. Aspects of the story change, while most all of the important elements remain in-tact. I think it is one of the most underrated/overlooked Horror remakes/sequels/reboots etc etc
@EEMike, take a listen to rotten rantings cast 01, i think you’ll find our opinions line up. I second what terror said the graphic for this cast is really well done.
PHENOMENAL MC – Damn fine horror podcast now with MC as the runner
I wanted to give you PROPS Midnight for the OUTSTANDING hosting position- A fun listen and ZOMBIES rule horror!!!
Terror Tovey is new to horror, right? He has to be?
I feel like he just doesn’t get it. At all.
