  6. ZOMBIEFREEK:
    Thanks for letting us know. I haven’t heard that anyone else is having trouble with the sound (and the audio plays right away for me), so perhaps it is your connection. Even so, I’m sure BillChete will check on it for us. Thanks, again. P.S. I bet you’ll dig “The Video Dead.”

  7. Thank you all for listening!

    R Haas:
    I’m glad you appreciate Scanners the same way I do!

    Slime_stack:
    The Video Dead is a very . . . special movie. I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

    Zombiefreek:
    Haha, don’t sell your DVD’s! REC and REC2 are great movies, even though I don’t think they’re really zombies.

  8. HH says:

    The Burning was damn good!!! It is a definite purchase for sure. I have watched it twice on Netflix….yeah it’s a Friday the 13th ripoff, but it is still a good watch.

  9. Alton Koff says:

    U wanted ratings hwg-
    Scanners=8.7
    VD=7.5
    MM=Not seen-
    Burning=8.2
    -Good show-

  10. GregaMortis says:

    Great movies, we covered The Burning on our next episode also. Great job guys

  11. TERROR! says:

    I still think all thee movies sucked…. so I’m glad it wasn’t an off night, just an off week for horror movies. seriously though… none of them were scary. At all.

    And also… they just sucked!

    Scanners has 2 decent scenes. And the burning is a summer love movie with a slasher that takes WAY TOO LONG to do anything.

    The End.

  12. 2broken2 says:

    terror tovey,
    under 5′s on all 2 are classics.
    i know now not 2listen2 you.
    buying blood car right now it must be good.
    finale,
    why are you in horror it is apparent you dont like horror movies?

  13. Murray S. says:

    Pleasant episode surprised on a few ratings here, we needed the boisterous Billchete on this one, I think the fights would of been plentiful. It’s been ages since I seen David’s Scanners, time for another go on it Midnight Corey.

  14. POWERPhilip says:

    SCANNERS rules MC!!!!!

    Great flashback of older horror movies episode!

  15. d.k. says:

    hells yeah the burning is a classic dr. good choice there. way to announce you don’t like the movies before the show tt. why didn’t you leave then before hand. even jay’s starting to get it. now work on tt.

  16. Thanks for all the support on Scanners!

    Can’t fault Terror for not liking movies. He’s entitled to like or not like whatever he wants, and I totally respect that. Actually, I love the fact that his perspective is different.

    That’s like faulting me for not liking Justin Bieber when you’re obviously a diehard fan.

    It’s all a matter of taste.

  17. Shannon says:

    Short 1 this Wk. but still good : Buying 3 selections here :-)

  18. TERROR! says:

    Dude, what can I say? These movies didn’t do it for me. I like GOOD HORROR, and not the classics just because they’re considered classics by the old timers. People who like the kind of horror I like will agree.

    And I hope you do buy Blood Car… serves you right! ;)

    TERROR OUT!!!!!

  19. My 2 cents…
    Terror Tovey is absolutely correct when he says he doesn’t have to like the “classics” just because they’re considered classics. If a critic lies and fakes liking a classic just because it’s popular, then that’s a critic we could all verbally cannibalize, not a straight-shooter like Terror. He sticks to his guns (even if his guns are dead wrong about “The Burning”).

    And one more thing: Somebody tell me what the hell’s wrong with liking Justin Bieber and “Blood Car”? ;)

  20. Milagros Carranco says:

    High ratings this week 8s, 9s, gonna check them out indeed. I’ll be back Sunday for the next episode. Keep up the great work.

  21. misfitboy says:

    Corey

    welcome back buddy, it sure has been awhile.

  22. > Somebody tell me what the hell’s wrong with liking Justin Bieber and “Blood Car”?

    The cool thing is that I won’t hold your love for Justin Bieber against you. Unless it somehow works its way onto the podcast.

    I’ve never seen Blood Car. Not sure that I should.

    Misfitboy! Great to see you bro!

  23. foundry says:

    twhmp puts on a great podcast classy debates and fun overtones. the burning and scanners is excellent horror from the 1980s. great coverage of horror movies.

  24. BillChete says:

    My podcast brothers holding down the fort in my absence!

    Some comments:

    The Video Dead is a must-watch zombie movie! You have a zombie with an iron in his head, zombies popping out of washing machines and a great chainsaw fleshy scene where they reference The Texas Chainsaw Massacre! Not to mention, some scary looking zombies with decent makeup. I have qualms about so much time spent on a stupid story. Come on guys, it’s a zombie movie, it don’t need to make sense, and I didn’t need a back story. I am actually coming in higher than Corey, a 6½. Horror fans need to see it once!

    The Burning a solid 9. Top 10 80′s slasher!

    Scanners is my favorite Cronenberg movie, who I am not a fan of, right in between you guys, a 7.

    It was me, Jay Of The Dead, I made a small reference to Monster Man way back. I loathed the comedy in it as everyone knows, I deducted 3 points off for that alone, but, the craziness of the family, the “Monster Man” was awesome, and the family dynamic was creepy. The girl in it was hot! A point for that! It’s a rental, 6½.
